Saudi Arabia is considering changing PCR test requirements for previously vaccinated Russians.
Starting February 9, 2022, the rules for crossing the border are changing and the validity period of COVID tests is being reduced.
At present, the kingdom admits exclusively previously vaccinated foreigners. The requirements also include the need to provide fresh PCR test results and an antibody test (regardless of vaccination!). The Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia plans to amend the validity periods of these certificates and change the time interval from 72 to 48 hours.
All official operators received the corresponding newsletter literally a week ago.
In general, the innovation should not affect the flow of vaccinated tourists; this practice has already been implemented earlier by many European countries.
