Turkey's Consul General in Jeddah, Mustafa Unal, and Turkey's Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mehmet Metin Eker, visited the Hira cultural district in Mecca, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
During the tour, officials highly praised Saudi Arabia's efforts to enrich the cultural and religious experience of Umrah pilgrims and visitors, especially at sites of historical significance to Muslims.
One of the highlights of the tour was the Gallery of Revelations, which displays the revelations received by the Prophet Muhammad and tells visitors about the history and heritage of his mission.
The Hira Cultural District, opened in January last year, is also home to the Museum of the Holy Quran and other items of cultural significance.
