The Makkah Municipality recently created more than 280 public parks in various districts, many with children's play areas, aiming to attract visitors and improve the city's green spaces.
Osama Zeitouni, a municipality representative, told Arab News that the parks have cleaning, entertainment, and plant irrigation services.
He added that the trees were pruned and shaped to provide shade, greenery, and a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, as well as to improve the urban landscape.
The spacious parks include children's playgrounds, squares, and walkways and are located in a wide variety of districts and residential areas.
Heavy rains in recent days have added greenery, and the municipality has launched a program for weeding and tree care in several locations.
