Namaz – prayer in Islam. This is an obligatory ritual, one of the pillars of the faith of a true Muslim, an expression of obedience to Allah.
The standard cycle consists of five obligatory prayers:
- Fajr – double prayer in the morning;
- Zuhr – four times midday prayer;
- Asr – four times the evening prayer;
- Maghrib – three times evening prayer;
- Isha – four night prayers.
Pay attention!
Unintentionally skipping a prayer is not considered a sin, but if you missed a prayer, be sure to perform it at another time. A complete refusal to perform prayers leads a person out of Islam.
What is required to perform prayer in Mecca?
- You must be a true Muslim;
- You must be of age (responsible parents teach children to pray from the age of seven!);
- You must be of sound mind (people with mental disabilities are completely exempted from religious practice, Allah is favorable to them and forgives all sins);
- You are required to observe the exact time of prayer;
- Must be in a state of ritual purity;
- Keep your clothes and place of prayer clean;
- Cover the awrah, that is, those parts of the body that must be covered;
- Communicate facing Mecca, where the shrine of the Abrahamic Monotheism – the Kaaba is located;
- You must have the intention to pray (in any language).
