The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has announced that since the start of this year’s Umrah season, 4 million visas have been issued to pilgrims from all over the world.
This was made possible through the ministry’s partnership with various sectors in the Hajj and Umrah industries, which facilitated the arrival of pilgrims through online visa applications on its website and Nusuk platform. The primary objective is to provide high-quality services to pilgrims, enabling them to perform their rituals peacefully and enrich their spiritual and cultural experience, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives.
Pilgrims and visitors can find information about obtaining a visa and apply through the website haj.gov.sa/ar/InternalPages/Umrah. They can also choose packages and pay online through the Nusuk (nusuk.sa) and Maqam platforms at Maqam.gds.haj.gov.sa. Pilgrims with various types of visas, including personal, visit, and tourism visas, can perform Umrah, as well as visit and pray in the Rawdah at the Prophet’s Mosque by booking appointments through the Nusuk platform.
To further ease the process, the Umrah visa has been extended from 30 to 90 days, and pilgrims are now allowed to enter the Kingdom via all air, land, and sea entry points. With the Nusuk platform, the procedures to book an appointment for Umrah pilgrimage and visit the Prophet’s Mosque can be made online 24/7.
