It will assess cases of individuals aged 65 and older in order to diagnose conditions including cognitive impairment, memory deterioration, functional decline, and excessive medication.

In addition to ensuring proper treatment of diseases, the center also provides home care services in appropriate cases that meet certain conditions.

The center is part of a modern healthcare model supervised by the executive medical administration of the Mecca health cluster, whose goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle through the prevention and treatment of diseases, as well as disability, in elderly people.

Al-Omari was also briefed on the services launched by the executive operations department, presented by the guest services department. Several services were consolidated in such a way that a single site provides printing and reporting, medical coordination and information on treatment eligibility, management, the family and admissions department, booking of outpatient appointments, access to medical files, outpatient referrals, as well as scheduling appointments with the medical commission.

At the opening ceremony, which was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Health and the hospital, Al-Omari praised the development of the center.

The opening of the new facility highlights the Kingdom's efforts to improve the quality of life of elderly people and the services provided to them.
